The third annual KAHRA Forum was held in Broome in October 2024. The day was about ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Evaluation’. There was representation from health services, research organisations and community organisations.
This year’s forum was particularly special for the KAHRA Team as we launched the Kimberley Aboriginal Health Research Model (KAHRM) which is an informative guide for researchers and evaluators wanting to undertake projects in the Kimberley. We have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback on the KAHRM from the attendees.
Overall people have appreciated the sharing of knowledge and information and it has been great to see and hear local people speaking proud and strong about local issues.
